The old way of having to enter tons of custom content into sites by hand, or worse, force the content into blogs by using mysql is a hassle. One little mysql hiccup and the entire site is blown.

Specifically I love that you can select Post Status, Comment Status, and Auto Tags.

Other article plugins I've tested don't allow any of that.

The biggest pain with those others is having to go through phpmyadmin after-the-fact to do a mass disabling of comments of all imported blog posts, so you don't get comment spam.

This plugin eliminates that hassle. If you don't want to allow comments simply select that option and no comments will be allowed.

Oh, and having auto tag is cool feature too. Can import hundreds or even thousands of entries without having to enter tags by hand or use another plugin to go back and cleanup what other import plugins failed at.

And status is cool too because if ever there were a hiccup in the imported content, your blog doesn't cause a bunch of error 404s to show in the search engines because you have no choice but to go back and manually delete the error entries that Google may have quickly indexed before you removed the error entries -- been there, done that :-("
