I hope you enjoyed the short WP User Reviews 'movie' starring the A3 Guy. Please permit me to tell you the:

I head up the A3 team who in our everyday work build WordPress websites and plugin solutions for businesses. At the start of 2011 while building a clients site we searched the web looking for a WordPress Reviews & Ratings plugin that would allow Wordpress site visitors to:

• log into to the site using their facebook credentials.
• write a review and post a rating on the business, products, service or organization.
• add images to their review.
• post that review, rating and images to the site.
• have that review and rating auto posted to their facebook wall.
• have their review and rating shared with all of their facebook contacts via the Newsfeed.
• and their review and rating shared on the site owners facebook fan page.

But we wanted more - we wanted the plugin to allow WordPress site owners to:

• to be able to simply insert reviews in any position on any post, page or product on their site.
• have the reviews show in a sidebar widget – static or rotating.
• have complete editing control of all reviews – to control spam or malicious postings.
• get an email alert each time a new review is posted.
• have the full review in that email with a link back to the review on their site.
• have the ability to write a reply (response) to the review.
• have that response posted on the site under the users review.
• have that response generate an email to the reviewer with the response and a link back to the review.
• allow the owner and reviewer to respond to each other as many times as they liked.
• restrict responses on the review to the reviewer and site owner.
• add reviews from any other source eg. other sites, written testimonials, thank you notes, emails etc.
• show links to the source for verification and credibility.
• have a universal rating system that applied to any product, service, business or organization.

We could not find anything even close to those requirements - so we built it.

Over the first 4 months of 2011 we built the plugin. We then started installing it on our client’s sites and the feedback we got was amazing. As people saw it we started getting requests from other Wordpress owners and developers to make it available to them.

For us to do that we first had to build a completely user friendly admin panel so the plugin - by then called WordPress to Facebook Customer Reviews and Ratings was 'plug and play' to cater for novice WordPress owners right up to developers.

Now that is finished a complete WordPress novice can download, install and activate WP Users Reviews and their own Facebook App in under 10 minutes flat.

After 6 months of development, extensive 'live' field testing and almost $20,000 invested today the A3 team is pleased to launch the plugin now called WP User Reviews.

Whilst we could use acres of space to tell you about the features and benefits of installing the plugin, we’d rather the plugin users tell you what they have found via the WP User Reviews Plugin.
