Even if you wrote 10 articles per day, your website would be choked out by competing websites that churn out that amount in 5 minutes flat!
Everyone who wants to go into the field of Internet marketing must learn how to leverage the expertise of other people.
Let me tell you what I mean by that ...
Joe Smith might be very good at designing websites, plus he knows a thing or two about gardening. Smith decides he wants to start a website and earn money from it on the side of his real job to supplement his income. He starts a gardening website but, unfortunately, runs into a few problems.
Sure, if he spends A LOT of time he might be able to write descriptions for all the plants he is featuring on his website but what is Smith going to use for graphics? And what script will he use to allow visitors to comment on his gardening observations? What gardening ebooks can he sell to the people who visit his site? The list goes on and on. How will Smith ever be able to produce anything that is the least bit useful to potential site visitors? And how will he ever make a profit?
What Smith needs to understand about his situation is this: he is only one person. The web is a huge place, it's like a giant metropolis. Profit making websites are only shops that people off the sidewalks (search engines) stumble into, many times by accident. But even those shops that are owned and run by one person (there are many) have workers in them that are invisible to the eye. That's right! Most websites sell and distribute content that was not created by the person who owns the site.
It's just like in the retail business. The owner of an electronics store does not actually create the electronic devices he sells, rather, the owner imports his inventory from third party companies. The owner of an electronics store is only the middle man. A successful website owner is many times only a middle man, a distributor. The only difference is that a website typically distributes digital content and a store often distributes things you can touch, feel, put in your pocket or place on your shelf.
Many times the resell rights for digital content is purchased outright by the owner of a website. That is how a website owner becomes the middle man. That is the most effective content acquisition plan for anyone looking to create a solid profit making site. You need to have good content and you can't create it all by yourself.
OK ... so where do I purchase the resell rights for good digital content?
Many successful Internet entrepreneurs have a stockpile of digital content to sell to visitors or to give away for free (and monetize with ads) on their websites. Mine is humongous. Yes, I've been collecting digital content for years now and, through my contacts, I know where to get all the good stuff. I purchase the master resell rights for much of the content I own which allows me to sell it to anyone I please. Anyone I please -- that includes you!
