The results you see, and the energy-saving benefits you will enjoy, will both be a direct function of the size and quality of the system you build, as well as all the characteristics of your home (insulation, southern exposure, materials). But you should know that your total energy output will also be impacted by the solar and wind resources in your specific area and neighborhood – It will depend where you are and what...

HOW EASY PEOPLE FALL INTO
HOW EASY PEOPLE FALL INTO THIS. THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK.
Its a marketer, not a technician / engineer
One look at the website proves that its identical to all the other obscure products and gadgets (many of them scams), snake oil types. Maybe real, but most likely a good old pointless marketer.
What kind of Idiot....
I am truly amazed when people review something without purchasing it or trying it. Are you a prophet? Do you think people are interested in reading what you GUESS something MIGHT be?
frickin idiot.
Has anyone tried It ?
I would like to read comments from someone who has bought the book and tried it. That's the only comment the really counts.
Just hooked up my system by and started an electrical fire
I just bought this "system" 5 days ago. I had already been using a nice Solar Power Plant that came with my Motor Home. I disconnected the system from my Motor Home. I then followed the instructions in this manual by the letter, plugged it into my house as the manual suggested and blew up the inverter and subsequently it caught on fire. After putting it out, calming down, and trying to clear up the smell of an electrical fire, I have emailed the supplier asking for help. So far, I am less than impressed. If I receive support and clarification, it may be worth the money, the writer does show pretty good plans on a couple of the items.
We will wait and see.

solar power
i would suggest an approach would be..
1. be skeptical about any long continuous single page website. This is taught to would be internet marketers as the way to hook people in. There should always be more detail about the entity providing products and services on other page(s) (like AboutUs etc)
2. ALWAYS look for some means of contact to establish 2 way communication before payment.
2. Always ask a couple of questions first before paying and see how the responses are.
3. Testimonials must always have surnames and contact details or they are WORTHLESS
nice advert
this "review" is just an ad and the "author" is probably getting commision if you click that link. i think getting off-grid is fine, but don't fall for these cheap e-book deals.
When the webpage says "Who else wants to..."
When the webpage says "Who else wants to..." you should complete the sentence with "get ripped-off"
I bought this system, and
I bought this system, and while there are some very creative ideas in here, there is some actual dangerous things. This guy is no electrician. In one place he calls the white AC line the positive, and wires his plug backwards. Most people know that when it comes to Household AC that Black is the Hot and White is the neutral. Also he says to tie regular inverters to the power grid, I'm pretty scared to try this as I have a fairly decent electrical background. This requires an inverter that synchronizes with the grid and also has a safety shutoff in case of grid failure. These inverters will instantly double or triple the guys claim of being under $200 (for very low wattage). And most of these low wattage grid tie inverters are not UL approved yet.
My opinion...
And you are electrician? Black cable is ground.
I think if you have not try it or anyone here have ever try it, do not say the system do not works. Sure the website looks like a regular lead capture page, but try the program and then you people talk.
If you need help in building it, just go and ask for help, someone of your friends or family have to have knowledge in electric, anyway you don't lose money in buy the system, how use paypal to make an scam when the "scammer" knows that you can get money back by paypal policy??
That is my opinion.
John Russell Power4Home Scam
No, black is NOT ground. Ground is a green wire. The previous poster is correct: For 120V systems, Black is Load, White is Common. Don't screw it up.
Your Opinion Speaks for Itself, Joe
I AM a career electrician. Used to work for an electric utility for 20 years. "Try the program, and THEN talk"??? Makes me think you're in on the scam, Joe.
Any system which connects to the utility-provided AC system MUST, MUST be synchronized with the 60 cycle power present. We are not talking about a cheap, "off-the-shelf of your local Wal-Mart" inverter. A phase difference of a few angular degrees can cause power "bucking" and burn your equipment up -- maybe set fire to your house. You cannot show me a single instance in which powerful and efficient enough photo-voltaic cells can provide enough energy to run a whole house AND have the cost of these materials come in so cheap. To do it right, you are talking about several thousands of dollars of investment which must be weighed against the cost of utility electricity (and the cost of maintenance, repair and the financing of YOUR equipment, too).
And you had better read up on what PayPal will and won't cover. PayPal does not exist for the protection of the foolish and the gullible.
Black wire is not ground
Black wire is L1 feed, White wire is L2 return or neutral, green wire is ground. Don't write something like tha tunless you know something. Only in car wiring is the black ground, that's DC not AC.
Idiot? Who's pot is calling
Idiot? Who's pot is calling the kettle black?
My god "Joe", first learn how to write your thoughts down in proper English. Your outward butchery of the English language makes you look like a fool.
Next, realize that you have no knowledge of AC electricity. Black is not Ground! - Never has been and never will be. Maybe you consider yourself knowledgeable because you have played with DC with your toy soldering iron while working on your vibrator. Simply Google your incomplete knowledge before babbling in broken English. You don’t know anything – and when you open your mouth, you prove it.
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_test_ac_polarity_with_a_multimeter
Have not reviewed the "Manual" but have seen enough responses that are truly not affiliated with POWER4HOME and have deduced (miraculously) that this is a farce. If it walks, waddles and sounds like a duck, it is probably a duck.
Fraudulent Advertising
First of all, the "electric bill" that is shown is from Reliant Energy in Minnesota. That just happens to be the gas company in this neck of the woods. I can also understand why this bill dropped so much, considering he said on the website that it was from the first month his air conditioning would be in use. I don't know about you, but I don't think many people have gas powered air conditioning system.
Thank you all !!
I'm soooo glad I decided to research this before I bought it, and all of you convinced me to RUN (not walk) the other way. I do have background relating to this field being a HVAC mechanic with over 20 years experience, and the posts supporting this "system (?)" obviously are either ignorant, or fraudulent of basic electicity, and principals. Thanks again, and I hope my opinion saves someone else heartache and money.
THANKS FOR THE WARNINGS
THANKS GUYS FOR THE WARNINGS ABOUT POWER4HOME SCAM AND THE MAJOR MISTAKES IN WIRING. I AGREE ABOUT THE AC WIRING CORRECTIONS. SPECIAL THANKS TO DAVID CANARY FOR HIS SAGE ADVICE AND THE FELLOW WHO HOOKED THE SYSTEM TO HIS RV (AND MY SYMPATHIES), SINCE I WAS GOING TO DO THE SAME THING.
I ALSO NOTED THAT ALL REVIEWS ARE POSITIVE... THAT'S HINKEY!
Power4Home Fraud
If it sounds too good to be true, and is priced, coincidentally, just below the magic $50 value that credit card companies will dispute for you, then it probably isn't true.
Reading between the lines: Sure, you can build a solar system under $200, excluding those "minor" construction materials that you "may" need to go to Home Depot for, like: solar panels, wire, conduit, inverters, steel framing, hardware, permits, and tools ...unless you "already have this stuff in your garage,"
In short, you will spend under $200 because, 1) The "book" only cost you $49.97, 2) Somebody gave you all of the materials and tools, and 3) you are smart enough NOT to follow his construction advice, thereby avoiding thousands of dollars of electrical contracting repair work.
Smart money? Blow it on a stripper for 15 minutes; at least you'll have some satisfaction.
The $50 credit card remark
The $50 credit card remark made by the previous reviewer isn't quite right. Most cc companies will dispute anything if you have a legitimate gripe.
However, regarding the
However, regarding the "guarantee" the company doesn't do any refunds, it's the "bank" which isn't a bank at all and they are therefore not regulated as banks are.
It was hard to find negative remarks about these "green solar" outfits, which was a surprise.
What a hoax
Does this system work? Sure it does. The hoax master buys a professionally designed/installed solar power system for thousands of dollars with your donations and laughs all the way to the bank............
Video
Very convincing video on the system. However, difficult to believe. Thanks to anyone who posted a review here. I hope others come and read the posts.
Power4Home System Video
I am a 62 yr. old retired business woman and my husband and I were self-employed in the housing industry. Through the 18 yrs. of our marriage and listening to my husband's stories in the building industry, I've come to realize that you never, ever buy a product unless you do your homework and research the web for reviews on any product being sold and it doesn't matter what that is. I just finished listening to a long video pertaining to this Power4Home System. It seems very impressive considering all the detailed information this so called electrician offers, but when I read all the comments on this page, I smirk because it's what I expected.....it doesn't work well. Just Saved myself and my husband $50 and would rather spend it on going out to dinner.I again, want to remind anyone that before you attempt to invest in any product, do your research and look for the reviews of those who tried it first.Have a blessed day.Grandma Felice
