You did it again for me! I had an interview for an ecommerce position with a very successful and large organization today. I used the book to put together some ideas for questions and came well prepared.

After he asked me to take him through my background, he asked if I had any questions. Yes, in fact, now that I've told you about myself, I said, "What are the key criteria that you'll be using to select the person for this challenging position?".

"That's a great question" he replied. "Let me first tell you about the organization and then about what I am looking for." And he proceeded to talk for about ten minutes, listing some key criteria, and telling me that I met them all, except for one (opening the objection). I then talked about his concern for a bit to neutralize that. I had many others, but I then asked something like, "Do you have any other concerns about my background", and he said "Not at all, but I do have concerns about a number of the internal candidates for the position.... " So, I must tell you that I am reviewing your book before my interviews and preparing myself. I am getting bolder in asking the tougher questions - the closing questions - and finding that they work and really help.

There aren't enough jobs out there that I am well qualified for, for me to use the questions I want to try!
