The quest for sustainable energy is never ending and from time to time one often hears of groundbreaking ideas, which give rise to a range of energy efficient products. One such product is the ‘Magniwork.' This is a prototype generator built at home by John Christie and Lou Brits from Australia. They claim that a motor can run perpetually by the action of two magnets in the motor, which provide the action of attraction and repulsion, thereby making the elements turn continuously. Lew the electrician and John the business executive from the northern part of Queensland in Australia have been building and tweaking up this system for more than 6 years now.
Basic principles of electromagnetism
When electricity passes through a wire wound around an iron core, there is an electromagnetic field created around the coil. This field attracts a magnetic arm that turns around and starts a small generator. This is the principle at work behind most electromagnetic applications. The makers of the perpetual generator claim, that once the motor is kick started with the help of a battery, it will continue to work and produce energy at the rate of almost 24 KW a day for as long as all functions continue smoothly. The magniwork website claims that this magnetic force powers a generator that supplied the energy required for the application.
Its claims for categorisation
The principle is the same in windmills too. If this application meets with success, these men would prove to be pioneers in something greatly needed in a world whose energy resources are fast depleting. This kind of energy has been termed "Free Energy system" as this energy producer produces five times more energy than it consumes. This allows the categorisation under ‘renewable and free energy source.' Named ‘Lutec', this generator claims to produce energy and store it in an energy bank from which household appliances can withdraw power for consumption.
The negative reports about this product
This product, created in the late 1990s, reached a particular level, when its creators went public at the end of it. In the year 2001, Walt Rosenthal and Parke Cole, two scientists and engineers were invited to evaluate the product. They did so and found out that the Lutec was only 33 % efficient. They found out that, the two founding people had been erroneous in their calculation and that their knowledge of the power drain in batteries was faulty. They tried to convince the makers of the machine about their errors with little results or so it seems.
The positive side
Arguments on behalf of the product claim that the reason why nothing substantial is yet to come from the inventors of the motor is the lack of time they have to invest into their pet hobbyhorse. Others say that such a concept is likely to have developed a snag, which is probably taking a long while to set right. Whatever the reason might be, one can only hope and wait that a true sustainable source for the world will be found out before the world plunges into absolute darkness.

Really efficient1
I gave magniwork a shot, and I must say I was suprised by the results. I didn't expect much, but it really seem to work, I'm already seeing a great improvement in energy efficiency. I'm really excited about it, and I think I'm going to implement it on a larger scale.
I would recommend it to anyone looking to save on energy.

magniwork plans
I bought the Magniwork plans and they seem to be junk. bad images, typos, contradictions everywhere, no tech support, no photos, no link to working prototypes, no parts list, no links to suppliers, I emailed them several times with no replies, scam, not saying it doesn’t work, but you can't build one of these thing for less then $100 with a screw driver and pliers, there is shop machining that needs to be done and the parts are hard to find, I cant even find the copper coated steel wire they say you need. sorry but that is the truth!

Save your money for the electricity bill
While I believe most people won't be conned there may be some still possibly convinced. Simply put, if you invented a generator which provides free energy, would you sell it for a $100 on the internet or give the contract to a manufacturer and sell an incredible piece of equipment to the entire world and would easily make yourself billions!
Best way to save your bill - don't let the kids watch your 80 inch flat screen 16 hours a day! (Please note I do understand that if you own a massive flat screen that you would probably not be really concerned of the cost of your electricity bill).

To Magniwork Believers
Never in the history of the internet has anyone mounted a more thorough propaganda campaign. The criminals (in my opinion) behind this really know how to manipulate search engines so it's almost impossible to find anything negative about it. In addition, chat rooms are found and bogus success stories are posted, negative comments removed. What a clever and massive effort they have demonstrated. If they devoted all that effort for the good of mankind, we would all know their names. As it is, they must hide their identity. How do we know they are bogus? In all the history of mankind no one has ever produced a free energy machine that can be operated by an independent party. Never. Not one time. Only the so called inventors can ever demonstrate it in controlled conditions. Be real, what are the chances of you the reader finding one on the internet? One that you can easily build in your spare time and can be explained with elementary school level pseudo science? No really important discovery can be kept a secret for long. The technology for the atomic bomb was even published and available to the public (it's been recalled since).
Don't be so open minded that your brain falls out (not to mention your wallet as well).

I wish that reviews would only be written by people who try the program. In every field there are loud naysayers who speak from a high degree of skepticism without having tried the product or process. I'd like to hear from those who tried and failed rather than those who sit on sidelines throwing stones. I don't want pollyanna nor curmudgeon's venom, just the fact of someone who honestly tried.

I dont know, i never tried this one, but all theese "perpetum mobile now for ONLY 150 BUCKS!" seems really suspicious to me. I study physics a bit, and i am also open minded. Still, i dont believe that it will work, or at least that it works on principes discribed. Is it perpetum mobile like solar energy? (from normal person´s wiew, it is, because who cares that sun will die in like 10 milions years or so) If yes I also believe that if it really works, internet will be overflowing with (illegaly) posted free guides to build this. So no, i dont believe this one.
But only time will tell, and i hope, i really do hope i will feel like an idiot for being such a pesimist.

Such a machine would contradict any Physics law and it would mean that Einstein and co. were simply foolish guys... It cannot simply exists, since net energy cannot be created nor destroyed. One can just transform energy from one form to another one.
The common sense suggests that any inventor would patent the technology and sell it for billions, instead of offering it on-line.

I bought the Magniwork
I bought the Magniwork package. Brian is right that it contains very poor instructions, lots of GO GREEN blah, but very little where it counts. No pictures or videos of working units. The entire text is taken from a webpage that you can easily access with Google...try mini-romag generator. The videos attached to the package go to a bunch of useless videos from a man who tried and failed. Research Mylow, and be prepared to be bored. I have searched many Bedini videos, and have become convinced that his patented system works. Check out Daftman also on You Tube. Please don't waste your money on Magniwork!
I don't have, nor will I be
I don't have, nor will I be purchasing the Magniwork thing. Due to the negative reviews regarding the directions, a list of suppliers and so on, it appears that the product is flimsy at best to me. I mean, really, If 80% is devoted to making your home more efficient, then 80% is just fluff that has nothing to do with building what the guide is supposed to show you. That seems like padding the book to make it look bigger to me.
But.. And yes, this is a big but. I totally and thoroughly disagree in every way that this breaks the laws of physics or is not workable. Anyone saying that simply does not have any background. I do have a very extensive background in electronics, current flow, and yes, that includes magnetism from how generators work and so on.
To make this simple. Everyone understand that a generator will generate current, if you can spin the shaft it is attached to. Wind turbines are used in this way all over the world. Most cars have an alternator (which is basically the same thing as a generator, just a bit more advanced). Older cars had the generator, rather then an alternator. Anyone who grasps the concept of a generator should truly realize that converting the kinetic energy of the spinning shaft to electrical current very possible. Its been in use for a very long time all around the world.
This type of energy transfer is where physics says you can't get more then what you put in. That is true. You are only converting one type of energy to another.
However, you could just as well create a magnetic turbine to turn that shaft. Anyone saying this is getting something for nothing or that it is getting more out than was put in is simply a fool that does not understand physics. If I can use magnets to spin any shaft, then my power source is the magnetic field. Its not coming from nowhere. The only question. And I mean literally, the only question is if your particular magnetic turbine has the torq needed to turn the generator shaft. If its too small, put on a bigger one. You are not getting more energy then went into it. You are not breaking the laws of physics. This is physics. You are converting the magnetic field to kinetic energy, and this is used everyday. Look up how any generator actually works. Look up how transformers work. And since you can put on as large of a magnetic turbine as is needed, you are not creating more energy than what went into it.
Now, all that said. I do not work for magniworks. As mentioned before, I will not be buying it. I do not recommend others buy it, simply based on the reviews I've seen. I am not some spokesman and I do not have any gain here from this. I simply feel a need to correct misinformation about physics that says this impossible. In "theory" it most certainly IS possible. Does magniworks do the job right? I have no freaking clue or care. I personally would prefer something without all the moving parts that will eventually break down. For me, solar seems to be the best option and I recommend others consider if they want the mechanical hassle as parts where out over time. Solar does not need those mechanical parts and should last much longer.
