Growing up in country Victoria, Australia, we were always around animals. We had a cat, Garfield, a Blue Russian...that was the love of my young life. Rugged and adventurous, I always felt safe around him...he used to kill snakes!

I Really Wanted an Indoor Cat to Pamper...

As beautiful and strong as he was, he was an outdoor cat and what I secretly wanted was an indoor cat...a Siamese!  A friend to talk to. A playmate to pat and groom. A soul mate to turn to when other kids teased me...

A friend of mine at the time Justin, his grandma owned a Siamese called Smokey. Justin always understood what Smokey was saying and what he wanted. This fascinated me, how could Justin know what Smokey needed?

A Chance Meeting

Anyway, I grew up and moved on and recently caught up with another old friend. Both being cat lovers, naturally the conversation came around to Justin and Smokey and how well they got along...and this got me thinking again...why?

The Search Begins...

And that was that. My love of cats and my girlhood love for Siamese in particular set me on a mission to find the answers to why Justin and Smokey had such a great understanding and friendship...

Here's where the story gets interesting... 

I trawled the internet and gathered all the information I could on my beloved Siamese...only thing was, pretty soon I had complete information overload.

It wasn't that there wasn't what I was looking for, it was just that there was soooo much and in so many different places...

"Just give me the information in one place please!!"

What I wanted was an all in one guide...a quick and easy reference to my beloved Siamese, so I could work out how Justin and Smokey were the perfect companions.

It was so frustrating! It was there alright, how to properly bring up, care for, breed, pamper and read your Siamese...only problem...it took many long draining hours in front of the computer!
