Absolutely no BS! He actually got goose bumps!! I was stunned. I just stood there watching the tiny hairs on his arms rise to attention like compliant soldiers.

I knew this must be genuine, but I had to be sure... so I switched to suggestions of heat. The tiny hairs all lay back down, the goose bumps flattened as quickly as they'd appeared and within seconds his face reddened and beads of sweat trickled from his brow.

I didn't touch him. The temperature of the room was constant throughout. Yet he went from chilling goose bumps to hot sweats in seconds - just because I suggested it. Why? Because he was hypnotised. I'd done it.

From that very day I become obsessed with hypnosis. Over the following months and years I practised constantly. I tested and tweaked inductions, over and over. I was on fire... and loving ever second of it.

I spent hundreds of hours perfecting my craft. I craved the feeling of power that hypnosis gives you. I did countless shows for my friends at university and within a year I was in the spot-light, proudly performing hypnotic stage shows to the paying public.

My Secret Hypnotic Journal

One night, after a show, I was approached by a retired clinical hypnotherapist that wanted to get into stage hypnosis. He asked if I had any books that might help. I didn't have any books he hadn't already read, but I did have my secret hypnotic journal.

By now it was 1994, over the previous 2 years I'd religiously recorded every hypnotic secret in my faithful journal. I never intended on sharing it with anybody. My journal had become my Bible. It was crammed full of my very best inductions, trance deepeners, suggestions, hypnotic language patterns and secrets.

I was reluctant to let him see it, it was my baby. And, to be honest, I was a little embarrassed. This guy was a certified clinical hypnotherapist with decades of experience, what could I possibly teach him that he didn't already know?

I cautiously decided to entrust him with my prize possession and handed over my journal that weekend. By Saturday night he was on the phone buzzing with excitement, this is what he said...

"This is amazing, it's the best thing I've read. I actually get it now, it all makes so much sense!"

He'd already confessed to reading every hypnosis book he could find, but he'd never read anything like my journal. He insisted that I had to publish it. He said it was my duty to allow other budding stage hypnotists the opportunity read it.
