The authors, who have been in the business of generating renewable energy for over 15 years, realized that although many people would like to switch to renewable energy, the cost of beginning the project was too costly. With a typical system going for about $10,000 for the average home, and a wind generator costing between $4000 and $6000, the couple found an affordable way for people to get off the grid, which they now share in the eBook.
Bonus
The bonus eBooks provide information on how to make and install your won solar panels, saving on the costs of buying new solar panels. You also learn your options for finding free solar panels, and all available options for wind and solar energy that a family can exploit. You also get to learn how you can make your own biodiesel fuel at home for 46 cents a gallon. This is meant to save you a lot of money in fuel costs, since biodiesel can be used to power a diesel engine for a car or generator, and can be used as home heating oil too.
Reviews
Users of the resource found the information in the eBooks helpful in starting their own projects. However, the eBook approach includes a lot of needless information, which means the 100+ pages come with a lot of repetition, while the actual information could have occupied a lot less pages. Some users would have also preferred a video to accompany the eBooks. However, users appreciate the unlimited support resource, where they got direct assistance by getting their questions answered.
