....two weeks later, Chandra was back in my arms and back in my life!
So, was it "the missing link" that helped me get Chandra back? Or was it merely a coincidence? I wasn't too sure at that moment, but I definitely wondered. You see, I was doing everything that all the books were telling me to do - and Chandra was NOT budging. But miraculously, as soon as I threw the "missing link" into the equation, it was ONLY then that Chandra started to shift and finally take me back! I was shocked to think that *I* may have discovered something that no one else seemed to know about...something that was not talked about in any of the books I had bought when Chandra and I were broken up. It inspired me to find out for sure if I had really "cracked the code" ;-)
Two weeks later I got my chance. My youngest sister Amelia, who I'm very close with, broke the news that her boyfriend had dumped her also (it even happened at the same restaurant that Chandra dumped me at! eeeerie!). I felt awful for her. This was my baby sister's high school sweetheart, and undoubtedly her first true love. And plus I liked the guy too! So I told her about everything I had just gone through with Chandra, and briefly what I did to get her back. We made plans to get together that Saturday, just enough time for me to make notes on everything I had learned to get back Chandra, but more importantly the things that *worked*.
After I met up with Amelia that weekend, she was super excited about what her big bro' just revealed to her! She couldn't wait to start putting the stuff into action!
So now, will it surprise you if I told you they were back together that very next weekend?! Well, they are! ....in fact, they're planning their wedding as I write this now!
At this stage, I was convinced I was really on to something here! So then I remembered a buddy of mine Mac, who had been separated from his wife for almost half a year. I hadn't seen that much of him since his split....it was pretty tough times for him. But when I found out I was doing a job in his area, I decided to call him up and hang out with him for awhile. Needless to say, I told him all about my new little "break-up buster". Mac was a wreck inside, so it wasn't to my surprise when he jumped on the opportunity. He was ready to try anything! At first I was a little hesitant because I didn't want to get his hopes up for nothing.
"It's better to have tried to fix Love...than to have never tried to fix it at all!"
But when they say "it's better to have loved than to have never loved at all", I say "it's better to have fixed loved, than to have never tried to fix it at all". A whole month went by, and I didn't hear a word from Mac.....and then 2 months. At this point I was feeling pretty bad for the guy, I was sure it didn't work and he was depressed more than ever. So I figured I would call him up and take him out for a beer, just to get him out of the house for a bit.
It was that phone call, that probably changed my life forever. I got Mac's answering machine that day, but it wasn't just "Mac's" answering machine anymore! That's right, Sharon (his wife) had moved back in and was no longer considering divorce!
When it hit me that my "break-up buster" (that's what I was calling it back then!) was working better than I had ever dreamed possible, it was a huge wake-up call! It was that day I got Mac's answering machine, that I knew what I *had* to do with my life. I discovered a way to get couples, who had relationships gone sour, get back together and I wanted to tell the world!
