As I'm sure you know, slugs are one of the most common and most stubborn garden pests on the planet. They have a voracious appetite, especially for soft plants like the ones you have in your garden. Their most popular targets include cabbage, lettuce, sprouts, asparagus and strawberries, but they will eat and destroy just about anything you try to grow.
As an experienced gardener I know first hand how disappointing and utterly frustrating it can be to spend hours and hours of hard work growing a beautiful garden only to have it ravaged by slugs.

What a sad and frustrating sight to see. Is this what we garden for? To provide sustenance for slugs and allow let them gorge themselves to their delight?Certainly not!
Gardening is a wonderful and very fulfilling pastime... And there is nothing quite so disappointing as seeing your hard efforts being destroyed by slugs.
Have you ever tried to get rid of slugs before? Not so easy is it! They are persistent little pests, aren't they...
When I first began my journey to discover an effective solution for how to get rid of slugs I started off by asking friends and neighbors for advice. Many of them also suffered from slugs and had apparently tried (and failed) to get rid of them. I got some advice, but it didn't really have much of an impact and the slugs kept coming back over and over.
So I searched online for a solution, but - as you have probably already discovered - the information available online isn't very helpful and many of the "solutions" offered are nothing but a big waste of time!!
Whether you've already tried and failed or you haven't tried anything yet you will greatly benefit from getting the right information on what to do and how to do it!
Save yourself the time....
Sprinkling salt on your soil and around the edge of your plants doesn't work. Not only is this an ineffective solution for slug control, but it can be very damaging to your garden plants. Not a very good option.
Slug Baits can be highly ineffective because the slugs have to actually eat the bait in order for for it to kill them. Besides, there is still the option that they will eat your plants instead. Even worse, some slug baits will simply attract more slugs to your garden and worsen the problem.
Forget about using poisons such as the commonly recommended metaldehyde slug bait. It doesn't solve the problem of why you have garden slugs in the first place and it can be very harmful to animals such as dogs, cats, and squirrels.
Don't waste your time by simply hunting them either. Many websites will recommend hunting them down with a mixture of water and ammonia, but what they don't tell you is that it could take up to two years for this "solution" to have any...
